5xSTUN is going bye-bye

This podcast is going away and it ain’t comin’ back, at least not under the “5xSTUN” name.

You know, I was never really crazy about that name, anyway. I thought the name went really well with the photo I took of the die I made with the STUN-X multiples from HERO System on it, but looking back on it it was probably not a good name. After all, a lot of HERO System GMs use the Hit Location chart, which mostly eliminates the STUN-X die altogether (except in the case of “whole-body” damage).

So, anyway, I got this email from Yahoo Domains saying it was going to cost me $34.95 to renew the domain name again this year, up from $9.95 last year, so I just said “heck with it” and went in and canceled the billing on it so that it’ll just expire in August 2008 and be gone forever.

However, I still have the site at wnyrpg.com, and if I ever decide to try making a podcast again, it’ll either be there or at a totally new domain that won’t be based on a photo of a die I made.

Thank you to everyone who supported the idea of this podcast, especially my dear friend in Louisville (you know who you are), and the podcasts who mentioned this one in hopes of helping me get it off the ground. The failure of this effort is entirely on me. I’m a lazy, procrastinating person who doesn’t have anyone around kicking him in the butt to do this, so it just didn’t get done.

We’re Back, We Hope

Well, for right now, it’s just me, Jim, and I’m going to kick-start this thing if I can.
